The Stan State Science in Our Community outreach program is dedicated to science education and public engagement.
Donations will fund the various activities under Science in Our Community. For instance, $500 will provide funding to hold a Science Saturday to bring K-12 students to campus to explore various science disciplines through active learning experiences.
Our Giving Day goal is $5,000 — every donation brings us closer to that target.
The programs offered by Science in Our Community are all free to the public and led by faculty, staff, and more importantly, student volunteers. Gifts to the program help with the costs of supplies, many of which are single use, and have to be covered by outside funds. While we have no trouble finding volunteers, replacing supplies is a big part of our budget.
