We maintain an active undergraduate research program that provides opportunities for hands-on, real world applicable laboratory experiences.
Your support of:
- $500 will help purchase chemical reagents for an experiment.
- $1,000 will cover the cost for a student to present their work at a professional conference.
- $5,000 will pay for maintenance costs on a spectroscopic instrument.
Funds raised in this campaign will be used directly to support the Chemistry Department's undergraduate research students. Funding sources for undergraduate research projects is increasingly difficult to obtain. Private donations can go a long way towards bridging the funding shortfall and enable continuing undergraduate research experiences for students.
Beyond simply helping students succeed individually, our local community and beyond will benefit from the scientific expertise and honed skill sets of these students as they go on to meet the ever-growing demand and need for professionals with scientific skill sets.
