An Opportunity to Memorialize Professor Viji Sundar

Stanislaus State is deeply saddened by the recent loss of Dr. Viji Sundar, professor of mathematics and a Stan State faculty member for more than four decades. 

Dr. Sundar was an enthusiastic and thoughtful instructor who was a passionate advocate for education and learning. She was driven to share her love and enthusiasm for all things related to science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM), which led her to pioneer and launch innovative programs at Stan State and in the community to help students improve their math skills.

This page exists to allow you an opportunity to honor Dr. Sundar by supporting the work that was so important to her. A memorial gift will be a lasting tribute to Dr. Sundar and will be meaningful to her family, colleagues, friends and the vast number of students Dr. Sundar taught, mentored and inspired. Dr. Sundar's family, including her husband, Kal, have established the Viji Sundar Memorial Fund for the purpose of memorializing Dr. Sundar's passion for learning.
