What is 1960 Minutes of Giving?
1960 Minutes of Giving is Stan State’s first-ever Day of Giving, a 1,960-minute online fundraising event from April 30 at 8 a.m. to May 1 at 4:40 p.m. During this time, alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Stan State are encouraged to give to the athletics, programs, and initiatives that matter most to them. Every gift helps create opportunities and success for our students.
Why 1960?
Stan State opened its doors for instruction in 1960, and since then, we have been a central hub of learning, growth and opportunity for the region. This campaign honors our history by creating a powerful, time-bound event focused on shaping the next 60+ years. 1,960 minutes is just over 32 hours — a short window with a lasting legacy.
How do I make a gift?
Make your gift anytime on this website from 8 a.m. April 30, 2025 to 4:40 p.m. May 1, 2025.
Click the "Give Now" button, select the fund you wish to support and enter your donation details. If you prefer, you can also give by phone (209-664-6546). You can also come out to the University Quad in person on Wednesday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and make your gift.

Is there a minimum gift amount?
No, every dollar makes a difference! Whether it’s $19.60 or $1,960, your gift will have a positive impact on Stan State students.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! Your gift is tax-deductible.
Can I direct my gift to a specific area or department?
Yes! During the donation process, you can select which participating area or fund you'd like to support.
What funds are available?
The University areas that agreed to participate are featured on this website, under the "Participating Groups" section. If you’d like to make a gift to a fund not listed, please go to www.csustan.edu/give.
Can I give to more than one area?
Yes! You can make multiple gifts at one time. As you check out, make sure to select "Add another gift to your donation" on the gift menu to select the other areas you would like to support.
